Davening with Darkhei Noam on the Yamim Noraim:
Darkhei Noam is proud and excited to be holding Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services for the first time this year. Our High Holiday tefillah will, as always, strive to be both welcoming and inclusive and, in consultation with Rabbi Daniel Sperber, our halakhic advisor, will incorporate additional opportunities, unique to the Yamim Noraim, for participation by women. If you have questions or concerns regarding these opportunities please contact us at info@dnoam.org. As part of our community preparation for the Yamim Noraim services, we invite Darkhei Noam members to study together. Information about this year's series of shiurim, which will focus on hilchot shofar, is available on our homepage.
All services will be held on the ground floor at the Mickey Mantle school, on the northeast corner of 82nd Street and West End Avenue. Rosh Hashanah begins on the evening of Wednesday, September 8th and concludes on Friday evening September 10, 2010. We will have Mincha/Maariv as well as daytime services for both days of Rosh Hashanah. Yom Kippur begins with Kol Nidrei on Friday, September 17, 2010 and concludes with Neila on Shabbat, September 18, 2010.
We anticipate that services on Rosh Hashanah will run from 8 am to approximately 1 pm. Yom Kippur and other times will be announced shortly, but we do expect there to be a break between Musaf and Mincha on Yom Kippur. There will be childcare, tot tefillah and youth programming during all the daytime services.
Due to the limited number of seats available, registration is currently open on a first-come first-served basis to members and their guests only. We urge all our members to take advantage of this preliminary registration. We will open registration to non-members on August 15, 2010 (space permitting).
We look forward to spending the Yamim Noraim together as a davening community. We encourage all members of our community to volunteer to help make our first Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur together run smoothly and be a meaningful, warm, and inclusive experience for us all. Please email info@dnaom.org with any questions about the davening or to volunteer.
With all our warmest wishes for a happy and healthy New Year,
Chaim Steinberger and Allie Alperovich, co-chairs, and the Darkhei Noam Yamim Noraim Committee

Darkhei Noam is committed to all members being able to participate in our davening and will discreetly arrange for reduced ticket rates as needed. Please contact our administrator, Mandy, at administrator@dnoam.org to arrange for reduced-priced tickets. Please note that given the limited number of seats, only members who are in good standing as of July 1, 2010 may purchase member and guest tickets during the initial registration period. Given our limited space and our robust children's programming, we suggest that seats only be purchased for children who will spend significant time in davening.
To register, please indicate the name of each person for whom you are purchasing a seat, his/her membership status and gender, and the days that he/she will be attending services. Given our limited space, if you indicate that you will not be using a seat on either Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur, we will resell that seat to give an opportunity to another member of our community to daven with us. In addition, we ask that you register children (free of charge) for whom you are not purchasing seats so that we can ensure we have ample space for our youth programming. Make sure to follow through to pay pal (by clicking on the "Donate" button) and enter your credit card information to pay for your seats and complete the transaction. Please note that your registration is not final until you have received a confirmation from our administrator, which is separate from your paypal confirmation e-mail.
If you have a preference to be seated in the front, middle or back of the room, please indicate your request in the "notes" area below. While we will try to accommodate requests, given our limited space we may not be able to do so. Please note the back rows of the space will be reserved for people with young children and those for whom it is difficult to reach the front of the room.
While Darkhei Noam does not have a Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur appeal, please consider making a donation to help cover our annual operating costs, child programming for the holidays, and to help subsidize tickets for those in need.
AT THIS TIME WE ARE NEARLY SOLD OUT FOR YUNTIF AND THEREFORE ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. PLEASE E-MAIL Mandy at info@dnoam.org TO REGISTER.
