Dear Friend of Darkhei Noam,
As we move into the second half of 5770, we want to thank you for making Darkhei Noam such a thriving community. As you know, over the past few years, we have moved from meeting once or twice a month to meeting every Shabbat. From our regular Shabbat services to our children’s programming, from our Purim services to our Hanukkah celebrations, and from our scholars-in-residence and Shabbat morning learning to our community mix-and-match meals, Darkhei Noam is flourishing and growing. Whether you join us every Shabbat or have only attended a community meal, you are a valued member of our community and we thank you.
While our Fall Membership Campaign is our primary fundraising effort, the dues and other donations raised in the Fall only cover a portion of our annual expenses. Therefore, each Spring we reach out to the community to help us close the budget gap for our membership year and to ensure that we can ensure Darkhei Noam continues to flourish and thrive.
As proud as we are of our successes, we know that we cannot maintain our now regular schedule of services and programming without your continuing and additional support. Just some of our ongoing expenses include:
$400 for youth programming per Shabbat/Chag
$350 for an unsponsored Kiddush
$520 to meet for Kabbalat Shabbat
$1,500 to meet on Shabbat and Chag mornings
Our goal for the Spring Campaign is to raise an additional $30,000 by June 30th to ensure that we can meet our financial commitments in our current fiscal year. Your support is critical. We believe that every dollar makes a difference – whether you contribute $18, $180 or $1800 or more, your support is important to us. Our goal is to have every member of our community make a contribution to the Spring Campaign.
We are blessed to have some very generous families who collectively have pledged leadership contributions totaling $15,000 to the Spring Campaign. This puts us 50% of the way toward our goal and we seek your help in closing this gap. While our community is growing, relatively speaking it is quite small, so each and every one of you makes a difference.
We hope you will join us in this effort to ensure Darkhei Noam continues to thrive. Please go to www.dnoam.org and click on the Make a Donation link to make a tax-deductible gift to Darkhei Noam. We will update the community regularly on our progress towards achieving our goal. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at finance@dnoam.org
Sincerely,
Michael Zeuner
