Planning a Simcha at Darkhei Noam

We are delighted to have you celebrate your simcha at Darkhei Noam. Please start by emailing our administrator Mandy at administrator@dnoam.org. After you clear the date with Mandy you will need to contact our simcha coordinator Tamar Major at smachot@dnoam.org to work out all the other details. Please be aware that we have extensive guidelines and that it is crucial for you to speak to our coordinator before you engage in any planning. It is advisable to plan a bar/bat mitzvah as far in advance as possible because we have various expectations of the bar/bat mitzvah which require several months of planning. We request that anyone planning a simcha at Darkhei Noam be a member in good standing. If you have not already joined, now is your time to do so, just click here.

Information for weekday bris/baby naming:  Darkhei Noam has made arrangements with the Columbia/Barnard Hillel's Kraft Center to offer the use of its space (subject to availability) on week day and Sunday mornings  to families at a reduced rate.  Rennert Hall, an attractive and
spacious room on the lower level, has an aron kodesh with torahs, removable mechitza, humashim, siddurim, chairs and tables.  The room  rents in four hour blocks and includes room set up.  Clean up will be  the responsibility of the family. The reduced rates are as follows:   from 7:30 - 9:00 am, the rental fee is $750 (this includes the cost of  a guard since the building doesn't officially open until 9:00 am.)   From 9:00 am on, the rental fee is $600.  For more information or to  make rental arrangements, please contact James Levin directly at  (212-854-0453 or james.levin@hillel.columbia.edu.
