We are very excited to announce Darkhei Noam's new youth program. Responding to the suggestions of our community members, Darkhei Noam will be offering age-appropriate groups for children in three different categories:

Ages 8 and up: Chapel
This group combines tefillah, education and fun, and is run by Josh Sherwin, a rabbinical student at JTS with years of experience working with children. This group starts at 10 each week and runs until kiddush. Among other activities, Josh will prepare interested kids to participate in the main minyan by leading appropriate parts of the davening.

Ages 4-7: “All purpose room” in basement
This group involves songs, Shabbat activities and games, and is run by one or two (depending on the needs) high school students who have experience working with children. This group starts at 10 each week and runs until kiddush.

Babies and Toddlers: Middle room, first floor
Children are supervised and cared for by a professional childcare provider. Depending upon need, we will have a high school student helping out with this age range as well.

We encourage you to share your childcare needs and suggestions with Ann Scherzer, who can be contacted at childcare@dnoam.org.
