Our Scholar-in-Residence, Professor Jeremy Dauber, will be speaking between Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma'ariv.
Joe Septimus' shiur is cancelled for this week. We wish Joe a speedy recovery!
Davening will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the gym.
Youth Programming for children under 5 will be held in the chapel, children ages 5-8 will be in the middle room and children 8 and older will be in the downstairs gym (basement). Tot tefillah will begin at approximately 11:00 a.m.

Scholar In Residence: Professor Jeremy Dauber, February 10-11, 2012 -
Darhkei Noam is pleased to invite you to our next scholar-in-residence Shabbat on February 10-11, featuring Professor Jeremy Dauber. Professor Dauber teaches Yiddish language and literature at Columbia. He has published books on how works of the Jewish Enlightenment used Biblical and rabbinic texts and on the topics of belief and skepticism in early modern Jewish literature. Professor Dauber will speak three times over Shabbat - Friday night services, Shabbat morning services, and at a communal lunch.
Professor Dauber will be speaking on the following topics throughout Shabbat:
Friday night during services: “Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav and Sacred Yiddish Storytelling”.
Shabbat morning during services: “Parshat Hashavua in the Shtetl - The
Tsene-Rene on Parshat Yitro”
Communal Lunch (registration required): “The Jewish Bestiary, or, Everything You Wanted to Know About Dybbuks But Were Afraid to Ask”
