Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur davening at Darkhei Noam are communal and engaging services, led by over 20 members of our community. Women participate in ways that are unique to the Yamim Noraim davening - leading various piyutim during many of the services and some of the Shofar blasts. We also offer a full schedule of child care on all days.

Darkhei Noam does not turn anyone away from our services due to financial considerations. If you need assistance covering the cost of the tickets, please email info@dnoam.org.

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will be held at our usual meeting place, Manhattan Country School (150 West 85 Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam). We are also securing a permit to close 85th Street in front of MCS. Outdoor davening is noted below.

COVID-19 Protocols

Note that depending on CDC guidelines as well as city and state laws, COVID protocols are subject to change as we approach the Chagim. By registering to attend, you are agreeing to abide by all COVID protocols in place at the time fo the Chagim.

ALL ATTENDEES OF INDOOR DAVENING ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF A COVID-19 VACCINATION AND NEGATIVE COVID-19 PCR TEST FOR ENTRY.

Please email a screenshot or PDF of your valid Excelsior Pass to jordana@dnoam.org (The Excelsior Pass can be obtained here- https://epass.ny.gov/home) or vaccination card. Deadline to submit in advance is 8am EST on Monday, Sept. 7 for Rosh Hashanah and 8am EST on Wednesday, September 15 for Yom Kippur. Your pass should be valid through the end of the holidays. If we don't have a valid pass on file showing your vaccination status and negative pcr tests (taken no earlier than Friday, September 3 for Rosh Hashanah and Monday, September 13 for Yom Kippur), you'll need to bring a printout with you to verify your vaccination status and proof of a negative pcr test. IF YOU DO NOT SUBMIT PROOF IN ADVANCE OR AT THE DOOR YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

Masks must be worn at all times by all in attendance.

Volunteering

Darkhei Noam relies on volunteers to assist in various ways throughout the chaggim. These include helping set up our space as well as ushering during davening. If you are available to volunteer, please fill out the volunteer section of the registration form or email Jordana.

Child Care

Darkhei Noam provides youth programming and childcare for children ages infant through pre-B’nai Mitzvah age. Groups are led by community members, all of whom have experience in Jewish education and in working with these age groups. All babysitters, entertainers, and group leaders are fully vaccinated. Masks must be worn at all times.

All activities will take place outdoors and will be cancelled in the event of rain.

Rosh Hashanah Hospitality

If you are facing a solitary Rosh Hashanah and would like to be invited to a meal, please reach out to hospitality@dnoam.org. You will be asked to provide your vaccination status along with any food allergies and what meals you would like to be invited to. We will do our best to accommodate you.
