Youth Programming at Darkhei Noam

Darkhei Noam provides youth programming for children of all ages during Shabbat morning and holiday services.

Toddlers/Preschoolers:  Babysitting begins at the start of services for our infants and younger children. Our long-standing, highly skilled babysitters provide childcare throughout the service. We kindly request that parents of children aged 2 and younger remain in the room. Tot Tefillah begins at 11am and consists of tefillah, stories, and singing. The service concludes with kiddush and snack.

Ages 5 and Up:  Youth groups begin at 10am with an hour of games and free play supervised by our Youth Coordinator, Deena Nerwen, and a team of teen madrichim (counselors). At 11am, three separate tefillah groups begin. Kids' Tefillah is for children aged 5-7 and Junior Minyan is geared towards ages 8-11. Darkhei Noam member Dan Smokler leads a parsha discussion for 11-13 year-olds.

In addition to shabbat programming, childcare and youth programming is provided for all minyan sponsored lunches and dinners.

If you have any questions or want to get involved, please email Deena at youth@dnoam.org

Donations of gently used toys and books (for all ages) are greatly appreciated. Please contact us at admin@dnoam.org to coordinate any donations.
