Shacharit & Torah Reading

Saturday, October 16, 2021 10 Cheshvan 5782

9:15 AM - 11:00 AMSolomon Schechter School of Manhattan - 805 Columbus Avenue

We will meet at Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan (805 Columbus Avenue- entrance on 100th Street) for Shacharit and Torah Reading at 9:15am and move to Central Park for Musaf and Kiddush at 11am, weather permitting.

In the event of inclement weather, Musaf will be held at SSSM for those who signed up for Shacharit and will follow the "rules" in place for indoor davening.

We recognize that meeting indoors has some inherent risks, and therefore we are taking the following steps to mitigate those:

  • Face masks which fully cover your mouth and nose will be required at all times by all in attendance.
  • Children are welcome to attend if they can remain masked and stay near a parent at all times. There will be no children’s room, toys, or programming at SSSM.
  • If you would like to receive an aliyah, please request it on the form below and provide your Hebrew name. We will confirm your aliyah via email on Friday.

We expect indoor davening to last from 9:15 - 11 am. Please make every effort to arrive on time so that we do not have to wait for a minyan.

You must RSVP below if you wish to attend Shacharit. You will receive an email confirmation on Friday. You do not need to register for Musaf outdoors.

This will allow us to gauge our numbers and is needed in the event that we have to notify people as part of contact tracing. Priority will be given to those who have to say Kaddish and the davening leaders and leiners. Other than those saying Kaddish, if there is demand from more than we can accommodate, we will work to rotate who can come each week.

For all of our in-person events:

  • Do not attend if you are sick, feeling sick, or if you have been feeling sick in the last two weeks.
  • Do not attend if you or any member of your household is under quarantine.
  • If you attend and later fall ill or are diagnosed via positive test with COVID-19 for any reason, we ask that you please notify Jordana so that we can make other members in attendance at that gathering aware of their potential exposure. Privacy will be respected.

Register

Space is limited. Members of the same family are required to sign-up individually.

Registration is a commitment to attend. You will receive an email Friday confirming your reservation.

Registration
If we have more RSVPs than we can accommodate, we will prioritize those saying kaddish.

Aliyah
We will give a limited number of aliyot (from your seat). Please click to request one, and we will confirm on Friday.
If you are requesting an aliyah, please mark if you are a Kohen or Levi.

By clicking submit, you agree to wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

If you fall ill, you must contact Jordana immediately so that we can make other members in attendance aware of their potential exposure. Your privacy will be protected. We must be able to notify all those who were at the same gathering, allowing each individual to proceed according to their physician’s guidance.
