The Climate Action Committee is excited to announce that Jakir Manela*, the new CEO of Hazon, will be delivering the Shabbat morning drash at our upcoming Climate Action Shabbat on February 4th. In addition, you are invited to an oneg Shabbat on Friday night, February 3rd, from 8:15 to 9:45 pm at the home of the Riegel/Lang family - to get to know Jakir better and to celebrate Shabbat Shira. Drop by for singing, shmoozing and snacks at this intergenerational gathering for teens, adults, and families and to learn more about Hazon, the Jewish Youth Climate Movement, the Jewish Climate Leadership Coalition, and more.

*Jakir Manela is the CEO of Hazon and Pearlstone. From 2012-2022, Jakir was Pearlstone's Executive Director, helping it become recognized as one of the most innovative Jewish organizations in North America. Today, Jakir is leading the new Hazon-Pearlstone entity into an exciting chapter of growth and impact.
