Security Training
Tuesday, December 18, 2018 • 10 Tevet 5779
6:15 PM - 7:15 PM150 West 85th Street (MCS)On December 18th at 6:15 PM, we will be running a security training at Manhattan Country School (MCS). All members are strongly encouraged to attend. In fact, we are hoping for a large turnout - the more of us know who know the safest practices for evacuation and sheltering, the safer our community will be.
We would also like to provide you an update on security at Darkhei Noam. In the aftermath of the tragic shooting in Pittsburgh, many of you asked us about how we can be more intentional about keeping our congregation safe.
Since then we have been in discussion with Amit Meir, the head of security at the Heschel School who also served as the head of Darkhei's security team at our 89th St home for several years. We are very grateful to Amit, Ariela Dubler (Head of the Heschel School), and the Heschel community for their assistance.
We are working closely with our friends at MCS, and Amit has made some specific recommendations on how to make the building even more secure.
