9:15 AM - 1:00 PMDN at Rodeph SholomSpecial Speaker Beila Kraus is a freshman at Columbia studying Cognitive Science, as well as studying Talmud and Rabbinics at JTS. Over the past five years, she has been exploring how Jews connect with nature, and how our land based traditions inform our role in the climate movement. She has served on the National Board of the Jewish Youth Climate Movement, coordinating actions to push Jewish institutions toward carbon neutrality. She prays for a future where the Jewish people fulfill their duty as shomrei adamah, or protectors of the land.
