"One loves, the other is loved": In Conversation with a Darkhei Noam Author
Sunday, October 25, 2020 • 7 Cheshvan 5781
4:00 PM - 5:00 PMOnlineJoin us for a special edition Book Club discussion! Author and long-time Darkhei member Nessa Rapoport will speak to fellow member and friend Catalina Trigo about love, forgiveness, and return in her new novel, Evening.
The novel tells the story of two sisters in their thirties, one grieving the death of the other, and of the way the past continues to inflect the present, sometimes against our will.
Nessa Rapoport is the author of Preparing for Sabbath, a novel; A Woman's Book of Grieving, prose poems; and House on the River, a memoir.
Catalina Trigo is an Editorial Assistant at Riverhead Books, where she works with authors like Olga Tokarczuk, Masha Gessen, Eula Biss, Brandon Taylor, and more.
Nessa and Catalina are fierce friends who try not to talk during shul.
