Mechirat Chametz

Dakhei Noam has arranged for Rabbi Jason Herman at the West Side Jewish Center to serve as the agent to sell chametz for members of the community. 

The deadline to complete this form authorizing him to sell your chametz is Thursday, April 14 at 5pm.

All chametz sold through Darkhei Noam will be repurchased
about an hour after chag. See below for information on purchasing chametz after chag.

Pesach Services and Schedule

Please note: Throughout Pesach, we expect we will have a much smaller than usual crowd. Please commit to helping us start davening on time, sign up on our minyan spreadsheet.

We will NOT be meeting for Mincha/Maariv services during Pesach.

There will be a pot-luck kiddush on the 8th day of Pesach. Food must be kosher and nut-free.

Pesach Children's Programming

Babysitting will  be available on all four days of Yom Tov. Tot Tefilah will take place on the last days.

Darkhei  Noam Hospitality

If you will be conducting Seder(s) at home and can accommodate one or more guests, please let us know the number of guests you can host for which Seder(s) by emailing us at hospitality@dnoam.org and enter "Seder Host" in the subject line. Please let us know what Covid precautions you require of your potential guests, such as vaccination, booster, testing, etc.

If you would like an invitation, please let us know which night(s) at hospitality@dnoam.org and enter the words "Seder Guest" in the subject line. 

Beyond Seders, if you would like to be matched with potential hosts or guests for another chag/Shabbat meal, please email hospitality@dnoam.org.

Shopping After Pesach

Limitations of purchasing food after Pesach only apply to the purchase of chametz. Chametz may be purchased immediately after Pesach from any store that has reliable hashgacha.

You can purchase non-chametz items, including kitniyot, in any Jewish owned establishment after Pesach.

You may purchase food from Jewish owned establishments that sold only Pesach food over Pesach.
